Relay for Life to move downtown in 2013

Starting next year, Relay for Life will be held in a new location. The widely received community event will be moving from the Dyersburg State Community College campus to downtown Dyersburg. Recently, committee chairs met to discuss the move and what it means to organizers and the community. N.C. man arrested in Dyersburg sentenced to federal prison

United States Attorney Edward L. Stanton III recently announced a North Carolina man that was arrested in Dyersburg last year will now serve federal time. Roderick Kornelius Ray, 28, of Selma, N.C., was sentenced on Sept. 27 to more than 10 years in prison for cocaine trafficking...

2 arrested after 18 meth labs found at residence

A man and woman are being held in the Dyer County Jail after Dyer County Sheriff's deputies discover 18 meth labs inside a residence on Highway 78. Bradley Vestal, 32, 37 Pin Oak, Dyersburg, Tenn., and Laura Buhr, 24, 1063 Sir Lionel, Dyersburg, Tenn., are both charged with initiating methamphetamine manufacture and are being held on a $25,000 bond apiece...
