Mrs. Rivers was born May 18, 1949 in Denver, Colorado to William E. and Mary Louise Dowling and was raised in Dyersburg, Tennessee. She was the public relations coordinator for Arlington Animal Clinic, a major animal lover, was of the Roman Catholic faith and loved her family and friends dearly. ...

City Beautiful names Christmas decoration winners

Judges have announced the winners of the Dyersburg City Beautiful Commission's 2012 Christmas Decorating Contest, with four homes within the Dyersburg city limits recognized for their unique displays. Judges traveled throughout Dyersburg neighborhoods to name the Most Religious, Most Original, Best Door and All Around Most Beautiful homes this holiday season.
