Streetlight knocked down on Troy Avenue

Dyersburg Police are searching for a vehicle that knocked down a streetlight and bush sometime Monday night. Police were dispatched to the 1100 area of Troy Avenue around 8:30 p.m. on Monday and discovered a streetlight and bush knocked over. The streetlight is one of several that are lit by gas along the street. The gas department had to be contacted to come and turn the gas off. The responding officer did notice what looked to be white paint at the bottom of the streetlight. The person responsible faces charges of leaving the scene of an accident and vandalism over $500. Trio arrested after items used to make meth found underneath fake floor

Dyer County Sheriff's deputies arrested three people on Saturday, after finding a number of items used to make meth hidden underneath a fake floor of a shed on Moss Street.
