Fundraiser for fire safety house Saturday at Bucket's

Residents ordering a Sparky's Pizza from Bucket's Neighborhood Pub and Grub from 1-4 p.m. this Saturday can help raise funds for a safety tool that may save lives in Dyer County. Buckets restaurant is partnering with members of the Dyersburg Civitan Club and the Dyer County Fire Department with a fundraiser this Saturday to raise money to purchase a fire safety house. The house, equipped with valuable learning devices to educate residents of all ages on fire and severe weather events, will serve the entire Dyer County community. The ingredients for Sparky's pizza include pizza sauce, Italian cheese, shredded cheddar and hamburger. Children attending a recent planning session for the fundraiser created the custom pizza themselves. The Dyersburg Fire Department will have a truck in the parking lot. Sparky will also be present to visit with children attending the fundraiser.

DHS honors student achievements at academic banquet

As Dyersburg High School comes to the end of the school year, its brightest students gathered together along with family and friends to celebrate their academic accomplishments over the last year.
