Dorothy Jean Camp, 88, of Dyersburg, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at her residence. She was a retired school teacher for Dyersburg City School System and a member of Parr Avenue Church of Christ. She was a graduate of Bethel College in McKenzie with a Bachelors Degree and a graduate of Memphis State University, where she received her Master's Degree. The Life Maze sponsored by Life Choices Medical Clinic and Right Choices will be held in late October at the Lannom Center in order to impress upon teens the seriousness and consequences of their choices in a safe environment. Health Dept: WIC program still underway in spite of government shutdown

The Tennessee Department of Health sent out an email press release on Tuesday morning in response to numerous questions about the impact of the federal government shutdown on the Tennessee WIC program. West TN refuges closed due to federal government lapse in appropriations

Dyersburg, TN -- The federal government closed on Tuesday as current funding expired on Sept. 30, 2013. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service stated they are very much aware that any lapse in appropriations imposes hardships on those they serve.
