(Features ~ 10/24/13)
'Poppie' is a precious little Chihuahua who is a perfect lap dog. He is already house-trained, good with other animals and kids and wants to be where you are. He will make someone a fine pet. You will never be lonely again with this sweet doggie. 'Sebastian' is a handsome little bluetick coonhound-mix with gorgeous markings. He is extremely sweet and loving. Sebastian will be a wonderful family type dog. 'George' is an Irish wolfhound mix. He is heartworm negative and enjoys attention. Present in Ireland almost 2,000 years ago, this noble breed had almost completely vanished by the mid-1800s, when it was revitalized by Capt. G.A. Graham, a British army officer. Originally used by the Celts to hunt wolves, this majestic dog was probably transported to Ireland by the Romans. In the second half of the 19th century, the breed was successfully re-created, using stock related to the ancient wolfhound. Affectionate and loyal, today's wolfhound makes an excellent companion dog. (Source: Fogle's The Encyclopedia of The Dog) 'Ginger' is a beautiful golden retriever mix. She is heartworm negative and a tad shy but warms up quickly when you show her attention. She will blossom like a flower, once you take her home and she understands she is truly loved and feels secure.
