Marty Jackson, 49, of Dyersburg died Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at his residence. He was an employee at RoyalGuard in Newbern. He is survived by three daughters, Lindi Moore and husband Brian of Dyersburg, Shea Jackson of Dyersburg, Kirsten Jones and husband Dane of Kansas; two sons, Tanner Jackson of South Dakota, Ryne Jackson of Dyersburg; his father James Jackson of Dyersburg; four brothers, Eric Jackson of Finley, Timmy Jackson, Rusty Jackson and wife Litsa, Wayde Jackson and wife Gina, all of Dyersburg; and five grandchildren Vann Jackson, Cade Moore, Brylan Moore, Kiera LaRose and Kaleb LaRose.. ...

Judge revokes bond of indicted suspect

Dyer County Circuit Court Judge Lee Moore revoked a Brownsville woman's bond after she was a no-show for indictment arraignments in circuit court on Monday. Mayor gives update on city grants

Mayor John Holden provided an update to the city's aldermen on the various grants the city has received at Monday evening's board meeting during the mayor's report. Over the last few years the city has received 12 grants worth nearly $12 million to improve various areas throughout Dyersburg. The grants are in varying stages of completion and the mayor noted that he would like to keep the board and the community informed of their progress on a quarterly basis...
