Local resident gives presentation on Kennedy assassination; Part 2 continues tonight
(Local News ~ 11/12/13)
Wallace Milam, retired educator from Dyersburg, speaks to a crowd of approximately 45 citizens about the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. The presentation was held in the community room at the McIver's Grant Public Library on Monday evening. Milam has spent the better part of his life traveling to Dallas, Texas to conduct interviews of people who were involved and researching exactly what happened that fateful day. After showing videos of the president and Mrs. Kennedy traveling in the motorcade in Dallas, Texas, on Nov. 22, 1963, Milam focused on the directions of the gunshots, the trauma room at Parkland Hospital, and the fact that Kennedy's body was flown back to Washington, D.C. for autopsy. Part 2 of the presentation will take place tonight (Tuesday) where Milam will focus on the medical evidence, the Warren Commission, and his own conclusions about what really happened on that fateful day in November 50 years ago. The free lecture begins at 6 tonight at McIver's Grant Public Library, 410 W. Court St., Dyersburg, and is open to the public. For more information, contact Danny Walden at 731-676-8075.
