Shade Tree Tractor Club Plow Day set for Saturday

The Shade Tree Tractor Club will host its 6th annual Plow Day on Saturday, April 12, at 578 Bethlehem Road in Newbern, Tenn. Plowing begins at 9 a.m. and there will be mules plowing, a petting zoo, wagon rides, and concessions. For more information call 731-676-7570 or 731-676-7571.

Transitions 10-K Run and One-Mile Walk is Saturday

Gidget Harrison Spoto and Trina Jones fill packets for runners participating in the inaugural Transitions 10-K Run and One-Mile Walk at the Dyer County Fairgrounds on Saturday, April 12. Late registration for runners interested in participating will be held at the fairgrounds from 4:30-6:30 p.m., on Friday, April 11 and from 7-7:45 a.m. on the day of the event. The fee for the 10-K is $35, with those participating in the walk required to pay $15. Race-day activities will begin with a prayer by Dyersburg Mayor John Holden at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 12. The 10-K begins at 8 a.m., with the start of the walk following at 8:15 a.m. Funds raised will benefit Transitions, a ministry of Jesus Christ serving women with life-controlling problems by providing a structured living environment and leading them to transition into a responsible life.

First Methodist to present the Living Last Supper this weekend
