Dyer County residents have until May 16 to express concerns or comments to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) regarding the Texas Gas Abandoned Pipeline Project. Texas Gas Transmission LLC announced last year plans to shut down one of its pipelines that runs through numerous counties in Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas and Louisiana. Tennessee State Trooper Grant Montgomery, of Dyersburg, Tenn., assigned to the West Tennessee Drug Task Force (WTDTF), made a traffic stop in Haywood County on Monday that resulted in the largest synthetic marijuana laboratory seizure in the state this year.
