Erma Stewart Humphrey, 81, of Dyersburg, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at her residence. She was an active member of the West Dyersburg Church of Christ and a retired school teacher who touched the lives of her students. Her husband adored her, her children called her blessed, and her grandchildren idolized her. She was happiest when she was doing for others. Her family and friends referred to her as "Sweet Erma". Many will miss her continuous smile and positive attitude...

Man faces several charges after reported shoplifting at Wal-Mart

A Tigrett man was arrested Tuesday morning after reportedly fleeing Wal-Mart with shoplifted items before being apprehended at the parking lot of Dyersburg High School.
