Firestone makes donation to DSCC

Firestone Industrial Products of Dyersburg recently presented Dyersburg State Community College with a $1,000 donation from the Bridgestone Trust Fund. Modern Woodman donates to Dyersburg/Dyer County Humane Society

Joe Wood, managing partner of Modern Woodman Financial Services in Dyersburg, presents a check for matching funds to board members of the Dyersburg/Dyer County Humane Society. Modern Woodman pledged to match up to $1,000 in funds raised in the Humane Society's ninth annual Tommy Lipford Memorial Four Person Golf Scramble, co-sponsored by Modern Woodmen of America. The tournament, held at Dyersburg Municipal Golf Course on June 14, raised over $3,000 for the Humane Society through entry fees and mulligans. Golfers were presented gift cards, lunch, snacks and a chance to win a $25,000 vehicle in Delta Autoplex's hole-in-one challenge. Cash prizes were awarded to winners in three flights. Wood said Modern Woodman has matched $1.25 million in donations in West Tennessee. Individuals interested in making tax-deductible donations or supporting the humane society may contact the organization at 285-4889 or mail a check to Dyersburg/Dyer County Humane Society, P.O.
