(Local News ~ 12/12/14)
McIver's Grant Public Library Board members and library personnel appreciate the professionals who put themselves in harm's way for the safety of the community. As a token of that appreciation, Library Director Regina Patterson and Library Board member Lee Weakley recently presented vouchers for free beverages from the library's coffee and hot chocolate bar to Dyer County Sheriff Jeff Box, above photo, and Dyersburg Police Chief Steve Isbell, bottom photo. Sheriff Box and Chief Isbell will pass out the vouchers to law enforcement officers throughout Dyer County who are invited to stop by the library, help themselves to a free hot beverage, warm up and enjoy the beautiful facility! The coffee bar is also a great way for patrons to warm up and settle in with a good book during these cold winter months. Coffee and hot chocolate are just $1 per cup, with proceeds benefiting library services.
