NEWBERN - The expectations were high for the showdown between the Lady Choctaws and Munford on Friday night at Dyer County High School, giving the showdown between District 13-AAA rivals a "game of the week" feel before tipoff. But, by the time the final horn sounded nearly two hours later, the orange-and-white girls and their visitors had given the crowd a viable candidate for game of the year as the Lady Choctaws took a 53-50 win after four quarters and two overtimes of back-and-forth action, moving Dyer County to 9-0 on the year (1-0 in district play).. ...
