Afternoon wreck results in minor injuries, citation

On Monday afternoon, an accident on Hwy.51 Bypass in front of Save-A-Lot resulted in minor damage to both a motorcycle as well as an automobile. According to Dyersburg Police, Jeremy Lumley, 26, of Dyersburg, was traveling south on a 2004 Yamaha motorcycle when a 2009 Buick being driven by Perrylyn Harber, 72, of Alamo attempted to pull on the road. Lumley reportedly laid down the bike before impact with the Buick. EMS officials were on the scene in minutes to treat the road rash suffered by Lumley during the accident. Lumley was cited for driving on a revoked license. According to the DPD, no charges are expected to be filed against Harber.

Man charged with robbery after weekend incident

On Friday, March 20, at approximately 11 p.m., Dyersburg Police officers responded to a report of a robbery at 1122 Parks Thurmon. The victim, identified as Devion Dyson, reported a man with a gun had chased him. Dyson told police he was inside his residence when he heard someone banging on the front door. He said that he answered the door and was rushed by a black male wearing all black that slammed him to the ground then took his wallet...
