Discovery Park surpasses 400,000 in attendance

Discovery Park of America exceeded its 400,000th attendance goal Sunday, May 10. To celebrate, these lucky guests received free admission into the park, a free combo ticket (to the Earthquake Simulator, Starship Theater and Tower) and a complimentary meal at the Cafe. Brian Dawson, Mariah Turner and Trace Turner, all Union City residents, were planning to celebrate Mother's Day by visiting the park Sunday afternoon. Park officials say that if attendance continues at the current rate, the park will be celebrating its 500,000th visitor later this summer. According to CEO Jim Rippy, comments are 98 percent favorable and the park is quickly becoming a destination.
