City Beauty Spot for June
(Local News ~ 06/24/15)
This month's Dyersburg city beauty spot is the yard of Ed and Becky Jackson at 281 Fairfield Drive in Rolling Meadows. Their cultivated flora include species of Cone flowers, Mandevillas, Verbenas, Marigolds, Lantanas, Salvias, Black-eyed Susans and Clematis vines. Ed Jackson said, 'We were both surprised and honored to be selected, but it's really my wife that tends to all the flowers. I'm just her go-for!' Becky Jackson is not only a Dyer County Master Gardner, but also the president of the local chapter. She said they started working at it in 2010 and most of the flowers are perennials. 'I would like to invite anyone in our community to join us, and they can do so by contacting the Extension Office for the UT Dept. of Agriculture at 151 Everett Ave., Dyersburg, TN 38024 or calling (731) 286-7821.'
