J.C. Crews, 81, of Dyersburg, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Vanderbilt University Hospital. He was a retired 25-year employee of Ermco, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Rev. Don Layman officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg...

One of Dyersburg's 'Most Wanted' captured in Newbern

A local man with a long list of charges, recently named one of Dyersburg's "Most Wanted", was captured late Wednesday night thanks to the efforts of several local law enforcement agencies, as well as many concerned citizens in Newbern. Kenneth Hipps, 34, 1712 Pioneer Road, was wanted by local authorities for failure to appear, driving on a revoked driver's license, theft of property over $1,000, leaving the scene of an accident and possession of Schedule II drugs...
