Dr. Billy Charles "Buddy" Criswell, beloved husband, father and grandfather, went to be with the Lord Sunday, January 17, 2016. He was 83. Criswell was born in Dyersburg, Tennessee June 30, 1932 and grew up in North Carolina. Northview Middle School students receive free shoes

Good deeds occurring within our small community help us, as residents, by not only granting aid, but also enlarging our sense of what it really means to be a part of something enriching. When Gracie Strawn, interim principal at Northview Middle School, was first approached by leadership members of First Assembly of God in Newbern regarding the donation of free shoes for students, Strawn immediately sought out approval from the Dyer County Board of Education.

Boss Hoss under new ownership, staying in Dyersburg

Ricky Dietz is the new CEO of Boss Hoss Cycles Inc. and his brother, Travis Dietz, is the new president. Monte Warne, the previous owner of Boss Hoss, finalized the sale Monday morning, Jan. 19, at company headquarters here in south Dyersburg. The Dietz brothers, both from south Louisiana, have been Boss Hoss motorcycle dealers and owners since 2006.
