With both Dyersburg teams claiming the No. 3 seed for the District 13AA Tournament that tips off this week, the Terry Glover Gymnasium will have at least two more nights of basketball this season and it will be a matter of black and white themes on Monday and Tuesday night.

DSCC honors Rockett for 47 years of service

Sandra Rockett was honored with a reception attended by staff, faculty, family and friends at Dyersburg State Community College Friday, Feb. 12. She is retiring after 47 years of service to the college. Rockett was hired at DSCC in 1969 as secretary to the president of the college. She served as secretary to President E.B. Eller until March 1974 when she assumed the position of coordinator of financial aid. She was promoted to director of financial aid in March 1993 and served DSCC in this capacity for nearly 23 years.

Chamber to host Vision XXI presentation Tuesday

The Dyersburg-Dyer County Chamber of Commerce will welcome Millie Callaway, a facilitator from TVA, on Monday morning at the Lannom Center for a presentation on the Vision XXI meetings held late last fall throughout the community.
