Whittle era begins as Choctaws open spring practice

The pads began to pop in Newbern on Thursday as new Choctaw head coach David Whittle (right) and the Choctaws opened their spring practice session at Dyer County High School. The Choctaws will play in their annual Orange and White Game on Thursday, May 5 at 7 p.m. Prior to the game, the football booster club will host a meet and greet cookout for Whittle. Dyer County will close spring drills on May 12 when they host Westview. Above, Whittle talks to members of the offensive backfield during group practice on Thursday.
