DSCC to host summer basketball camps for kids

Dyersburg State Community College will host its annual Lady Eagles Co-ed Basketball Camp for children entering grades 2-8. This camp is designed to help players explore their interest in basketball and increase their current skills. A total of 3 weekly camps will be held from 8a.m. -- 11 a.m. daily on June 13-17, June 20-24 and June 27-July 1. The cost to attend is $25 per child each week. Multiple weeks are optional. Chick-fil-A makes special visit to Highlands residents

Tuesday afternoon, Chick-fil-A co-owner and manager Lance Adams, as well as volunteer employees from the restaurant made a special appearance at The Highlands of Dyersburg Health and Rehab, where they spent a large portion of the evening participating in special events with many of the facility's residents. Recently, McIver's Grant Public Library welcomed the art of local photographer Carol Harris. "We, at McIver's Grant, are both pleased and excited to house Carol's art. The abundance of talent in this area is truly amazing. Over the past three years, McIver's Grant has housed art from 25 various local artists who specialize in a large scale of art mediums such painting, photography, and pottery," said library board Vice Chair Penny Hearn Law.
