Newbern T-Ball All-Stars finish second at state tournament

The Newbern T-Ball All-Stars placed second in the Cal Ripken State Tournament in Huntingdon this past weekend, placing as runner-up in the nine-team field. He is about 8 weeks old and has some wire hair. Toby was picked up as a stray. Baby (31177) is a Maine Coon kitten that was surrendered with her sister. County cracks down on property cleanup

The Dyer County Legislative Body (CLB) convened late Monday afternoon to discuss items on the agenda including an inter-local agreement between the city of Dyersburg and Dyer County for the Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program 2016 Award, the approval of bond (three-year) for newly appointed Dyer County School Systems Director Dr. Larry Lusk, and a resolution, that if passed by the General Assembly, will cut down the time that property owners have to clear debris from their residences before facing monetary penalties.
