Lady Trojans, DMS to host soccer jamborees on Saturday

Local soccer fans will have the chance to see their favorite high school team in action before the season gets underway as Dyersburg Middle School will host a jamboree Saturday morning before both the Dyer County Lady Choctaws and Dyersburg Lady Trojans will take part in the Dyersburg High School Girls Soccer Jamboree on Saturday afternoon.

Dyersburg squares off with Tomcats in second scrimmage

With a high heat index and a community event in Brownsville making for a tight schedule on Thursday evening, the Trojans were able to get an hour-long scrimmage in with the Haywood Tomcats in their final tune-up before the annual Star Physical Therapy/ West TN Bone & Joint Clinic High School Football Jamboree a week from tonight.

Curbside pickup hot topic at city meeting

The Street and Sanitation Committee convened at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 4 at City Hall. All committee members were present with the exception of Kevin Chaney. The most discussed item on the agenda was the issues facing the city of curbside pickup, which was also was a topic brought up during Monday's City Board meeting.

Kustoff wins in Dyer County primary election

Thursday's 2016 State Primary and County General Elections received 13.45 percent (2,798) of Dyer County's active voters. There were 1,562 absentee and early votes cast, plus three provisional votes and 1,236 voters that hit the polls on Election Day.
