Katherine J. Eudaley, 75, of Dyersburg, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2016 at Baptist Hospital in Memphis. She was a retired employee for 1st Tennessee Bank. Katherine was also a member of Three Oaks Baptist Church. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Naylor and Bro. Lynn King officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery...

Health council to begin Diabetes Awareness campaign in November

The Dyer County Health Council announced that it would debut its Stop Diabetes: Dynamic Dyersburg Health Campaign in conjunction with National Diabetes Awareness month in November. "We decided we wanted to do something to educate the community," said Beth Bell of Adult Family and Consumer Sciences at the Dyer County Extension. "We selected diabetes because it is common in this part of the country."

Baker crowned Fairest of the Fair

Following the Dyer County Fair's 69th Grand Opening Ceremony, Kacey Baker (center) was crowned at Fairest of the Fair, with Taylor Hopper (left) selected as 2nd maid, and Anne-Katherine Hamilton (right) chosen as 1st maid. All three girls are seniors at Dyersburg High School.

It's that time of year again; when the sweet smell of funnel cakes permeate the air, accompanied by the excited screams and shouts of laughter from those thrill-seeking individuals beckoned forward by the call of bright neon lights advertising nothing short of a night filled with tremendous amusement, fun, and adventure.
