Newbern Library to host Star Wars Reads Week

Star Wars Reads Week will be kicking off at Newbern Public Library on Oct. 10-15. Children and parents are invited to participate in the event, which will provide new and unique take-home crafts every day. During the final-day celebration, Saturday, Oct. 15, children are encouraged to dress up as their favorite Star Wars character and head on over to the library for a snack and special movie showing of the latest Star Wars! Who knows ... there could be a special guest!

Local man faces charges of child pornography distribution and possession
