Playoffs set as Trojans set to host Chargers

With the regular season drawing to a close on Friday night, teams in Region 7 and 8 closed out the 2016 schedule and cemented the bottom eight spots in the TSSAA Class 3A Football State Playoffs which begin on Friday night at four satellite locations.

Northview, Three Oaks earn splits in jamboree

Both Three Oaks and Northview middle school girls and boys basketball teams finished up their preseason on Thursday night as the two orange and white schools each earned a split in the West Tennessee Athletic Conference Jamboree at Union City High School.

First Citizens holds annual 'Pink Out'

In an effort to bring awareness to breast cancer research and promote survival rates, teammates at First Citizens National Bank's 19 locations hosted their annual 'Pink Out' on Friday, Oct. 21. Teammates at the bank wore pink attire to promote awareness. Kerrie Heckethorn, SVP and human resources officer, stated 'First Citizens hopes our annual Pink Out will keep the focus on breast cancer awareness thus saving lives.'

Walker Foot and Ankle ribbon cutting

On Wednesday, Oct. 26 the Dyersburg/Dyer County Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony at the grand opening of Walker Foot and Ankle. Dr. Kelly Walker was joined by family, friends, staff, Chamber diplomats, and both the Dyer County Mayor Chris Young and the City of Dyersburg Mayor John Holden for the ribbon cutting. ...

On Oct. 12, NSK held it's 6th APS Competition at Franklin Hub Plant in Indiana. All previous competitions were held at AHQ in Ann Arbor, so this was a departure from the norm and was considered by all attendees as an improvement on the previous events...
