Newbern Hardware sends trailer of supplies to Louisiana flood victims

First Assembly of God-Newbern distributes 600 pairs of shoes to NES students

Recently, First Assembly of God in Newbern was proud to present students of Newbern Elementary School with a large donation of free shoes, courtesy of a private shoe-distribution company. Throughout the course of four hours, volunteer members of the church, including Mike Douglas, Terry Douglas, Robert Smith, John Childress, Melinda Madalon, and Brenda Oliver, helped size and distribute nearly 600 pairs of shoes, which will now be put to good use by the students.
