The Dyersburg girls bounced back from a disappointing loss on Wednesday to get a double-digit lead over Middleton early on Thursday then fended off the Lady Tigers the rest of the way en route to a 54-40 win in the consolation game of the Lady Trojan Christmas Tournament in the Terry Glover Gymnasium.

Local man found, arrested on theft charges

Hours after a story appeared in the Friday edition of the State Gazette, local resident Derek Paschal was located by members of the Dyer County SHeriff's Office, and ultimately arrested. According to Sheriff Jeff Box, a tip was called in to Crime Stoppers reagarding Paschal's whereabouts. Members of the Sheriff's Office, acting on the tip, located Paschal at a residence in the Roellen community on Friday morning...
