DCHS recognizes teachers selected to state committees

Recently, Dyer County High School was proud to recognize three staff members selected to serve on state committees, including Michael Shirley and Tina Greenlee, who are now on the Passage and Honor Review committee, and Nancy Medling, who is now appointed to serve on the newly formed Master Scheduling Advisory Group.

State rep. discusses alternatives to proposed gas tax hike

On Monday, Jan. 30, Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam addressed members of the state legislature with a $37 billion budget proposal for 2017-18 that [if accepted] would effectively increase the state’s current gas tax rate, allow adults with access to free tuition to 2-year community colleges, and provide $100 in pay raises for K-12 teachers.
