Turnovers plague DC against Cards in 13AAA finals

The Choctaws were able to stay within striking distance of Brighton – a team which handed them a pair of losses by an average of 26 points during the regular season – for much of the opening three quarters before turnovers led to struggles late in the third frame. Despite battling back in the final eight minutes to get back within 10, Dyer County was unable to get any closer than nine points as the Cardinals took the District 13AAA title 72-59 at Munford High School on Tuesday night.

Murder suspect pleads not guilty, assigned a public defender
