(Local News ~ 07/09/17)
Within the past decade, the City of Dyersburg and Dyer County, much like the rest of the country, have endured hardships that have been the result of an economic slide. Many businesses and industries have shut their doors or moved to other areas, leaving numerous local residents without jobs, which caused the unemployment rate to skyrocket into double digits for many years.
