Dyersburg, Dyer County Schools classes begin Friday

Dyer County Schools and Dyersburg City Schools will begin classes for the 2017-18 school year on Friday, July 28, from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. Students will be dismissed and buses will run at 11 a.m. No breakfast or lunch will be served. Gov. candidate Boyd holds meet and greet in Dyersburg

Randy Boyd, one of many candidates on the Republican ballot seeking the office of governor of the state of Tennessee, held a meet and greet at Neil’s Barbeque and Grill on Tuesday at noon, with over 50 locals in attendance. Boyd, the former Economic and Community Development Commissioner, officially entered the race for the governor’s seat in March.
