Lady Trojan battery among five signed by Dyersburg State

Though the current chapter of their careers will not end until this spring, Lady Trojan softball fans will not have to travel very far to see the next chapter in the careers of the current Dyersburg High School battery as DHS pitcher Katelyn Canada and catcher Sarah Putman have signed to continue their diamond careers at Dyersburg State Community College on Wednesday.

At the Shelter

Last week there was a “Hallelujah” for reducing the number of animals at the Shelter. This week the Shelter has jumped up to 86 – well over capacity. There are 33 dogs and 53 cats and kittens. PLEASE SPAY AND NEUTER ! If they can’t be rescued, some of these dogs are at risk for euthanasia to open up space for new dogs...

Relay for Life to host Holiday Market at DIS Nov. 4

Come support research efforts for the American Cancer Society! On Saturday, Nov.4, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Relay for Life will host a Holiday Market inside of the Dyersburg Intermediate School gymnasium. The school will be selling sausage and biscuits, donuts, coffee, pre-wrapped cupcakes and sweets, chips, popcorn, hot dogs, canned sodas and water.
