Though the conditions weren’t ideal and the Choctaws did not get their best performance of the season last Friday night in the final regular season game of 2017, the outcome was all that mattered as Dyer County clinched its first playoff berth since 2013 and the first under second-year head coach David Whittle.

Trojans open Class 4A bracket on the road against Memphis East

After coming up just short last week against Crockett County in their regular season finale at J.C. Sawyers Stadium, the Trojans will hit the road for the opening round of the playoffs for the third time in four years as Dyersburg travels to Memphis to face Memphis East in the Class 4A playoffs tonight.

Habitat for Humanity to share $500,000 in THDA grant

Habitat for Humanity of Tennessee is directing $15,500 that was awarded in state grant funding to Habitat for Humanity in Northwest Tennessee to build one new home in Newbern, Tennessee. The funding comes as part of a half-million dollar grant from the Tennessee Housing Development Agency.
