The offensive numbers were staggering. There was a point when it appeared that someone might need to call Dyersburg’s own Mary Kay Hicks, CPA, to check the arithmetic in this football game. Stunning offensive fireworks that were ignited in this contest might be the understatement of the fall. The Trojans and the Mustangs combined for 94 total points and 900-plus yards of total offense as Dyersburg took a 57-37 win over Memphis East at Melrose Stadium in Memphis.

Brighton’s speed too much for Choctaws in 5A opening round
