Darrell Wayne Ross, 69 of Newbern, Tennessee died on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-East in Memphis, Tennessee. Born Tuesday, September 28, 1948 in Dyersburg, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Cecil Ross and Margaret Dennison Ross Fanning. Mr. Ross was a retired carrier for the United States Postal Service in Dyersburg, Tennessee and was a cattle farmer. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force...

Wright announces withdrawal from 2018 state election

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. march cancelled

Due to the recent winter weather, the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial March, along with festivities at the Dyer County Courthouse and Lively Stone House of Praise has been cancelled. The annual march, hosted by the Dyer County NAACP, was to occur on Monday, January 15.

Sanderson, county officials pick up petitions for fall election
