Eddie Joe Ellis, 66, of Paragould, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday at St. Bernard's Medical Center. He spent over 43 years in the construction industry, 25 of those as a superintendent for Forcum and Lannom Contractors. He was involved in the construction of ARI in Marmaduke and Paragould and Southworth in Manila, as well as with projects for Caterpillar, Behr Paints, Delta Faucet, Papa John's, Owen's Corning, Skil, Charms, and many other manufacturers across the southeast United States. ...

City school system announces 2018 Hall of Honor inductees

Dyersburg City Schools recently announced four new inductees to the system’s Hall of Honor. The induction ceremony is slated to occur on Friday, April 6, inside the Dyersburg High School atrium at 6 p.m. and will welcome the 2018 class consisting of Flossie Jones, Thomas Cross, Edward Parrish Jr., and P.H. White Jr. Family members and friends are invited to attend.
