This week’s Dyersburg High School student spotlight representative is Katherine Henson. Katherine is a senior and the daughter of Michael Henson and Susan Lee. She was nominated by DHS coach Ashley Ayers. ‘Katherine Henson goes above and beyond for people around her,’ said Ayers. ‘She is always willing to help and is proactive about getting things done. Special Needs Day held at Dyer County Fair

The Dyer County Fair hosted Special Needs Day on Wednesday from 9-11 a.m., opening a few hours for special needs people in the community free of charge. Special needs students from Dyer County and Dyersburg City Schools, along with students from Lauderdale and Lake County School Systems, also participated in the day’s activities with assistance from their teachers, middle school and high school leadership members, and community volunteers.
