Melbia Lois Palmer Fultz, 75, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. She was born on September 23, 1942, in Fayette, AL, to the late Ambers O. Palmer and the late Susan J. Cook Palmer. Melbia was a retired farmer and bookkeeper for Lane Gin Company. On Thursday, hundreds of area senior citizens convened at the Dyer County Fair for the annual Senior Citizens Day. Those 55 years of age and older were admitted into the fair free of charge and were treated to activities such as bingo, door prizes, live bluegrass music and more.
