With the postseason looming later this week, the Lady Choctaws brought their regular season to a close on Tuesday night as Dyer County’s girls soccer team won its 2018 regular season finale 4-1 over visiting Milan on Senior Night. TSSAA rules Clarksville Northeast must forfeit five wins

After a ruling from the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Administration on Tuesday, the Dyer County football team saw their record as well as their standing in Region 7-5A improve as Clarksville Northeast must forfeit the first five games of the 2018 season, including Week 5’s 35-0 win over the Choctaws in Clarksville on Sept. 14 as the Eagles played an ineligible player during those games.

Monday morning, Dyersburg High School juniors and seniors attended a college fair, held in the DHS gymnasium. Newbern Moose to continue partnership with Wreaths Across America campaign

For the third consecutive year, the Board of Moose Lodge #2707 of Newbern will continue partnership with Wreaths Across America. The campaign, which was created over 25 years ago by Morrill Worcester in Maine, was brought to Dyer County in 2016 by Newbern Moose Veterans Committee Chairman and United States veteran Jeff Griffin, who firmly believes in the Wreaths Across America mission statement: ‘Remember. Honor. Teach.’

Dyer County prepares to Walk Across Tennessee
