Dyer County falls in 7AAA title game to Lady Tiger surge

Though the Lady Choctaws rallied to cut the Arlington lead to six points at the half, the Lady Tigers dominated the second half of Wednesday night’s Region 7AAA Championship Game at Munford High School, holding Dyer County’s girls to just 10 second-half points on the way to a 70-39 win and the region title.

Cynthia Lynette Sipes, 53, of Dyersburg, TN passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital. She was born on April 18, 1965, in Dyersburg, TN, to Kay Scroggins Armstrong and the late James Lewis Smith. Cynthia was a bookkeeper for Security Locksmith. She was a member of the Dyersburg Moose Women's Auxiliary and loved to cook, crochet and play pool. Cynthia was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. At the Shelter

The number of animals ready for adoption at the Shelter has jumped from 40 to 61 in one week. Much of the influx is due to the new Nicole Incrocci Cat Sanctuary. It is great to be able to accept cats again, and there were plenty waiting for a place in the Sanctuary. Due to the horrible weather on February 23, the dedication of the Sanctuary was cancelled and rescheduled for March 2 from 1 to 3. Try to attend and see all the positive new changes...
