Trojan loss a tough pill to swallow

When the final seconds ticked from the game clock on Friday night and some stared at the scoreboard, one reflecting a 35-0 loss for Dyersburg, one had to wonder if it was due to the day being Friday the 13th, the moon, or any other number of things that contributed to the first loss of the season.

Dyersburg Police investigates apparent domestic related murder-suicide

On September 14, at approximately 12:56 a.m., Dyersburg police responded to the 600 block of Lake Road, in reference to a gunshot victim. Upon officer's arrival, they discovered a female adult victim that had been shot. Officers also discovered two young children ages 14 and 10 inside the apartment unharmed. The victim was transported to West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg, where the victim was pronounced dead.
