Monday’s severe storm left a line of wind damage across Dyer County

A lone severe thunderstorm left hail and straight-line wind damage across Dyer County on Monday afternoon as it rumbled from Trimble to Dyersburg. City officials believe most of the damage was in the northern part of the county. As of Tuesday afternoon, there were reports of electrical lines down, trees fallen, extreme house damage and farm equipment blown away.

Department of Health confirms 32 COVID-19 recoveries in Dyer County

Upon the release of the COVID-19 update Wednesday afternoon, the Tennessee Department of Health noted Dyer County has had 38 confirmed cases of the virus with 32 total recoveries. Additionally, the update revealed Dyer County has had 838 negative test results with a total of 876 tests performed.
