Early voting under way

Early voting began on Friday at 9 a.m. as Dyer County Election Commission Administrator Anita Fowlkes reported voters were waiting to cast their ballots when the office opened. “Our voters have been steady all morning,” Fowlkes said of the first-day turnout. “There's not been a line so anyone can feel comfortable coming out and voting with no lines right now. We have had a steady flow of voters.” Fowlkes added the day-one turnout has been normal for the opening day of early voting.

As July begins to heat up, Choctaws, Trojans carry on with workouts

With restrictions regarding close-contact sports still in place, the Dyersburg Trojans and Dyer County Choctaws continued to do what they could to prepare for the 2020 season with weightlifting, conditioning and fundamental workouts.
