Seventeen charged in multi-state drug trafficking ring in ‘Operation Clear Cut’

Seventeen individuals have been charged in federal court with operating a multi-state drug trafficking organization in West Tennessee, Arkansas, and Mississippi. D. Michael Dunavant, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Tennessee, announced the unsealing of the federal complaint on July 28.

Early voting ends Saturday

The early voting period for the Aug. 6 primary election is nearing the end, officially coming to a close in Dyer County on Saturday, Aug. 1 at noon. All registered voters in the county still have an opportunity to cast their ballots early on Thursday and Friday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. – noon at the Dyer County Election Commission, located at 113 West Market St. in Dyersburg.
