Gray wins county commission seat, Patrick retains school board position

On Thursday, Dyer County registered voters who did not partake in the early voting process, cast their ballots at one of the sixteen polling locations in the county for the State and Federal Primary Election, as well as the Dyer County and City of Dyersburg General Election. Once the polls closed at 7 p.m., ballots were taken to the Dyer County Election Commission for review.

Dyer County COVID-19 update for Aug. 7

With the release of the Tennessee Department of Health’s daily COVID-19 update, the department on Friday reported Dyer County as having 619 total COVID-19 cases, which contains confirmed and probable cases, as well as 339 active cases and 273 recoveries. The total number of deaths in the county due to the virus remained at 7.
