The Office of Justice Programs’ Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) has received multiple reports that individuals claiming to represent the Department of Justice are calling members of the public as part of an imposter scam. The Department strongly encourages the public to remain vigilant and not to provide personal information during these calls, which appear to target the elderly.

Dyer County TDH COVID-19 update for September 11

With the release of the Tennessee Department of Health’s (TDH) daily COVID-19 update on Friday, the department reported Dyer County as having a total of 1,100 COVID-19 cases, which consist of confirmed and probably cases. Additionally, the TDH said that Dyer County had 124 active cases with 965 recoveries/inactive cases. The total number of deaths due to the virus increased from 10 to 11.
