Halls Veterans’ Museum to host fall luncheon, flea market

The Halls Veterans’ Museum is planning to hold two events in October – the Ladies’ Fall Luncheon and Fashion Show, and The Airbase Flea Market and Precious Treasures sale. On October 15 at noon, the 16th annual Ladies’ Fall Luncheon and Fashion Show will be held in the Command Headquarters. Only 60 tickets will be sold this year because of Covid. Dyer County COVID-19 update for September 28

With the release of the Tennessee Department of Health’s (TDH) daily COVID-19 update on Monday, the department reported Dyer County as having a total of 1,403 COVID-19 cases, which consist of confirmed and probable cases. Additionally, the TDH said that Dyer County had 182 active cases with 1,207 recoveries/inactive cases.

Farmers Market ends 2020 season

This past Saturday, September 26, the Main Street Dyersburg Farmers Market, located at the Forked Deer River Park in downtown Dyersburg, concluded its 2020 season. The farmers market, which opened this year on June 13, operated under new safety guidelines, due to COVID-19, for vendors and visitors.

DPD arrests man for alleged aggravated assault

On Friday afternoon, September 25, Dyersburg Police arrested Albert Fultz, 62, of Dyersburg after Fultz allegedly threatened employees of a local business with a knife.
