Choctaws make first-ever trip to Millington on Thursday

Just a few days removed from a dominating win over the Vikings over in Clarksville in Region 7-5A last Friday night, the Choctaws will hit the road again Thursday night as Dyer County (4-1, 2-1) will travel to take on another team with a historical themed mascot as the orange and white will take on the Millington Trojans at 7 p.m.

Dyersburg looks to tame Tornadoes on Senior Night

Dyer County Schools to resume under Phase 3 guidelines, DCHS remains in Phase 2

The Dyer County School System announced Thursday afternoon that the system will resume classes next week, October 12-16, 2020, under the Phase 3 guidelines, with the exception being Dyer County High School, which will continue under Phase 2 guidelines.

Dyer County COVID-19 update for October 8

With the release of the Tennessee Department of Health’s (TDH) daily COVID-19 update on Thursday, the department reported Dyer County as having a total of 1,640 COVID-19 cases, which consist of confirmed and probable cases. Additionally, the TDH said that Dyer County had 247 active cases with 1,373 recoveries/inactive cases.

DPD arrests man accused of aggravated assault

On Wednesday night, October 7, Dyersburg Police responded to Anchorage Avenue in reference to a fight between two men reportedly involving knifes. As a result, DPD arrested Daniel Pieper, 49, of Dyersburg on a charge of aggravated assault.
